GDPR-compliant PII erasure without physical data deletion in single action

Erasing a customer's PII from a data lake/house across multiple tables is difficult. Finding and deleting every copy is cumbersome, error-prone, and breaks referential integrity. Xiaohan is developing a solution for an emerging architecture using the crypto-shredding pattern. It turns the data scanning problem into a key management problem, without the need of physical data deletion.
