After an eclectic undergraduate journey with degrees in Life Sciences and Music Education, Axel Blom found his way into the data realm through a Master’s Degree in Applied Data Science. He has worked as a data consultant for Deloitte for several years, doing everything from patching up credit risk data models to validating ML models for detecting financial crime before settling into more engineering-heavy roles. For a year now he has been at UMC Utrecht working mostly on setting up and designing the data ingestion frameworks for their new Cloud dataplatform.
